WHO'S TALKING ON KRTZ?
Christina
Cooper (M-F 1pm - 6pm)
Christina Cooper hangs out with you in the evenings, playing Today's
Hits and Yesterday's Favorites. Christina started like most of us
start, at ground level, as a part-time employee of a
nationally-distributed alternative radio format back in 2003. She
now spends evenings with you on KRTZ as a pleasant and upbeat
personality. Before radio, she was involved in community theatre
as an actress and a director, and has also sat on the board of
directors for an experimental theatre company.
Kelly
Turner (The Drive/News/Weather/Saturdays
7pm - 9pm)
Kelly Turner has the unique position of being heard at all hours of the
day on KRTZ. He's the one upon whom the entire Four Corners area
relies when it comes to updated weather and news information.
It's on Saturday nights, though, when Kelly lets his hair
down...what there is of it, anyway. Each Saturday evening at 7,
Kelly hosts the
70s at 7 followed by the 80s @ 8 which comes on at...well, you figure
it out. And, of course, Kelly is KRTZ's daily newscaster. Kelly also
hosts The Drive, the weekday afternoon show (4-6pm) that wraps up your workday
and takes you home. Kelly started in the radio business when he was 16 as an
overnight DJ (oddly, on KRTZ, when it was a country station).
Kelly has worked for both commercial and public radio at
stations such as KSJE-FM, KENN-AM and KRWN-FM in Farmington.
Kelly is the program director and station & operations
manager. Born in Utah, Kelly loves to return to the redrocks of
southern Utah whenever possible. He enjoys spending time with his
wife, Bethany, his sons, Ethan (5) and Noah (2) and
Sombra, the family's cat (13).
Kelly's ideal vacation would be roaming the streets of London and
exploring the English countryside. You
can e-mail Kelly HERE.
Cammie
Carlisle (various times)
Cammie got her start in radio while attending college in Enid,
Oklahoma. Her career has taken her into traffic reporting for
radio and TV stations and into the realm of satellite radio
networks. In her spare time, she rocks out with her band,
"Goodbye Sunday". In case that's not enough, she owns her own
promotion company and sets up concert events that benefit charities.
Desiree
Burnham (KRTZ's Prize & Promotions Diva)
Desiree has become the intra-office battering ram because of her
intense desire to follow orders and fall in stride-for-stride step with
the real world. Desiree was born in New York and then went
bi-coastal, moving to California. She's married to Jeff (bless
his heart) and has three other boys in da house (bless their
hearts). You can e-mail Desiree HERE.
Kevin Conners (M-F 6pm-11pm)
Tim Thompson (M-F 5am-9am)
Tim is a 20-year veteran of radio. He got his start at an
urban station (KBWH) in the mid-1980s and moved on to AC formats and
several others in various roles, including traffic reporting.
He's also managed to further his education through the whole career
thing. He believes this will help him diversify his talents into
television. Tim enjoys camping and fishing with his family.
Tony Wike (various times)
Tony Wike spent the last quarter-century having fun on the radio, and
he's not ready to slow down yet. His career has taken him to the
morning show in his native Charlotte, North Carolina along with
Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina and Omaha, Nebraska where he spent the
last twenty years at stations KQKQ, KEFM, and KGOR. Tony has also
done satellite radio programming and voice-overs for nationally
distributed commercials. He's no stranger to TV either, providing
voices for cartoon characters, and narrating "Class of 95" for Country
Music Television.
Chris
Hatton (M-F 10am-2pm)
